While in the Bahamas I was fortunate enough to come across a local bar on San Salvador called the Short Stop. It was located over by the United Estates, not to be confused with the United States. Sands was definitely good, but however Kalik has a special place in my heart because it was the first beer I've ever had. The silver Kalik has the usual alcohol content of an American beer, but the gold edition has about 2% more and I heard rumors of a legendary platinum edition which has about 4 or 6% more. Allegedly its now illegal to make but however the locals said you could still get it if you talked to the right people. I highly suggest getting a back of Sands if you see it and definitely think everyone should buy a case of Kalik gold this weekend.
The Short Stop bares a camera tripod on the wall with my name on it. I drank mostly Bacardi gold while I was there but I did get to enjoy a great Kalik every now and then.
